प्रातः स्मरामि भवभीतिहरं सुरेशं
गङ्गाधरं वृषभवाहनमम्बिकेशम् ।
खट्वाङ्गशूलवरदाभयहस्तमीशं
संसाररोगहरमौषधमद्वितीयम् ॥१॥

Transliteration

Praatah Smaraami Bhava-Bhiiti-Haram Sure[a-Ii]sham Ganggaa-Dharam Vrssabha-Vaahanam-Ambike[a-Ii]sham | Khattvaangga-Shuula-Varada-Abhaya-Hastam-Iisham Samsaara-Roga-Haram-Aussadham-Advitiiyam ||1||

Meaning: In the morning, I remember the Lord of Gods (Suresh), the remover of the fear of worldly existence (Bhava-Bhiti), the bearer of Ganga, whose mount is the bull, the Lord of Ambika (Parvati). I remember the Lord who holds a Khatvanga (club with skull), trident, and bestows boons and fearlessness with his hands, the unique medicine that cures the disease of Samsara.
